Master Bedroom Interior Design
Transforming a Master Bedroom Suite for our clients was not just a simple redecoration challenge.. Our brief was to create a luxury bedroom, dressing room and en-suite from an original arrangement of 2 bedrooms which had a bathroom in the centre of them.
We offer a full design and build solution from initial planning to full project management of builds and installations. Austin John Interiors are leading Interior Designers in Lincolnshire and can carry out all architectural services, planning and building control with our qualified architectural consultants, enabling us to design and build without limits!
To facilitate the new interior design in Lincolnshire, we needed to remove all the walls over the proposed master bedroom suite, and rebuild from plan. Another challenge was to create a luxury en-suite shower room from part of the original guest bedroom, design and build bespoke furniture comprising hand built wardrobes, drawers and headboard from solid Walnut and mirror.
Hand Built Furniture
Walk through the door of this luxury master bedroom interior design in Lincolnshire and you are welcomed by an arrangement of stunning hand built furniture, the dressing room is made from American Black Walnut and I have used mirror insets with glass handles to bounce light around and make a stark contrast to the stunning dark wood.
The new bespoke furniture has been designed to make the most of the available space, offering our clients maximum hanging space combined with drawers and shelves. The mirrors, while being a contemporary twist to the traditional hand built furniture, offers a great sense of space, teamed with a stunning crystal light and sumptuous carpets and Roman blind for the new interior design in Lincolnshire.
The Master Bedroom
The journey from the Dressing room to the master bedroom is open plan and designed to flow seamlessly.
As a contrast to the hard wood and mirror finishes of the bespoke furniture, we have used a truly sumptuous grey velvet from Mark Alexander for the hand made curtains, blind and pelmet. The luxury velvet fabric softens the overall interior design scheme and makes the room less masculine. In addition to the heavy texture of the curtain fabric, we have chosen a metallic flock wallpaper from Romo’s Black Edition to bring in more pattern and texture.
The Metallic qualities of the wallpaper and mirror are echoed with delicate embroidery detail in the sheers and scatter cushions, all finished with crystal light fittings.
The En-Suite Shower Room
Originally we were proposing a fully open plan transition from the Master Bedroom Suite through to the dressing room and continuing into the bathroom. Steam and privacy were still a niggling concern, but we didn’t have the space to offer a full opening door through as this would bump into the main bedroom door.. Our solution was to offer a pocket sliding door system where the door disappears into the wall cavity. This was an easy solution for us as we were building new walls as per the architectural services provided by Austin John Developments. We sourced and installed a beautiful etched glass pocket door system in its own frame, it disappears into the wall, allowing the much needed space to be un-compromised.
Behind the sliding door, we have created the en-suite shower room interior design in Lincolnshire to be a mix of textures and finishes to carry on the scheme from the master bedroom suite. Individual slate effect tiles lay horizontal to make a feature wall, with wood effect floor tiles, embraced by neutral stone. Using matte tiles and high gloss bathroom furniture complement each other very well and has encouraged the bathroom to be far from bland!
